The national cyclocross arrives at La Vuelta a Ibiza MTB SCOTT by Shimano
Lucía González will form a couple with Sofía Rodríguez, while Felipe Orts will do it with Kevin Suárez
Ibiza, March 30, 2023. Year after year, La Vuelta a Ibiza MTB SCOTT by Shimano has among its participants great cycling professionals, who are encouraged to enjoy the incredible landscapes and the spectacular atmosphere offered by the event in pairs. On this occasion, four great 'bikers' active in the CX, will come to the island to fight for victory.
On the female side, the star couple in this discipline will be made up of Lucía González and Sofía Rodríguez. Both have been Spanish champions several times and I'm sure they give 100% since they carry the competitive gene deep inside. Lucía has been the Spanish Elite Cyclocross Champion 5 times, 15 times if we talk about all categories. In addition, she is the fourteenth in the current UCI ranking. In the other side, Sofía, who already had two national championships, has just finished a great season by being crowned runner-up in Spain CX and second in the Spanish Cup. As if that were not enough, she has participated up to four times in the Sub23 and Elite World Cups.
In the men's category, there will be Felipe Orts, current national cyclocross champion, and Kevin Suárez, bronze in the championship. This magnificent duo comes to win against the current champions, Andrea Righettini and Stefano dal Grande. Felipe has been 5 times Spanish CX Elite champion, with a total of 8 championships in all categories. He is eleventh in the UCI ranking and has also been runner-up in the U23 World. Your partner is not far behind. Kevin has two Spanish Cyclocross championships to his credit, he has been a 7-time medalist in the Spanish championship, first overall in the Spanish Cup and has participated eight times in World Championships.

La Vuelta a Ibiza MTB SCOTT by Shimano starts on April 7 and promises to make its participants suffer and enjoy in equal parts. The incredible views will be the perfect respite from the heart-stopping climbs. A real three-day challenge that will end on Sunday, April 9.
