Tour 1st stage Friday, October 12
The inaugural stage of this XVI edition of the bike tour to Ibiza Campagnolo, will have its departure from one of the touristic municipalities par excellence of the island of Ibiza, Sant Antoni de Portmany.
The stage will have a distance of 87 km, an accumulated difference in altitude of 1,245 m, and a 3.6 km timed section in the area of Cala Vadella. The tour will have 3 refreshments, the 1st supply in the National Park of Ses Salines at Km 32,50, the 2nd supply in an emblematic place on the southwest coast of the island of Ibiza, the town of Es Cubells, where participants can Enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the neighboring island of Formentera and the 3rd refreshment station located at the top of Cala Vadella in the municipality of Sant Josep de Sa Talaia.
The route passes between the typical inland towns of Sant Rafel, Santa Gertrudis, Sant Jordi, Sant Josep, Es Cubells and Sant Agustí, marine reserves such as Es Vedrá and the illots of Ponent, we will also visit the natural park of Ses Salinas.
The first kms. They are of false level until arriving at the town of Sant Rafel, where a small descent to the area of the firemen begins, several slides introduce us to the town of Sant Jordi, from where we will go after a long straight of 5km to the beach of Ses Salines , there will be the first of the refreshments, after a short break we will resume the march in the direction of Sa Caleta, spectacular views will accompany us until the arrival at the 2nd supply stations, in the town of Es Cubells, after a small snack the moment will arrive desired for the most competitive cyclists, the timed section, at the top of Cala Vadella, a mandatory stop will serve to regroup the squad, and continue in the direction of the picturesque town of Sant Agusti, after a rapid descent we will reach the desired goal, located in one of the most beautiful bays in the entire Mediterranean basin, the bay of Sant Antoni de Portmany.
